Q: What aged players are appropriate for this team?

A: Players on this team should be attending 4th grade in the 2026-27 school year (next year).

Q: What time of the year does this program run?

A: The season starts the first week of August and runs through the middle of October.

Q: Where are practices and games typically held?

A: Practices are held on the football field behind Jack Young Middle School.

Q: When are practices and how often are they?

A: Practices are held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm. They start the first week of August and run through the middle of October.

Q: How many games will they play? What days of the week?

A: Games are held on Saturdays. There are 6 games played in the season, all of which happen in September and October.

Q: Is equipment provided or are is it purchased separately?

A: BYF supplied all safety equipment needed to play football as well as jersey's needed for practice and games.

Helmets, shoulder pads, pants w/pads, practice jersey, game jersey.

Q: What other equipment is needed to play football?

A: Cleats and a water bottle.

A2: If your athletes wants gloves or any other accessory equipment, that will need to be provided by the family.

A3: It is recommended that your athlete has a couple of pairs of compression shorts to wear under the football pants.

Q: Is my athlete required to attend the Baraboo Football Camp in July in order to participate in the fall?

A: No, attendance at summer camp is not required. It is simply an extra opportunity to gain football specific skills and interact with players both older and younger in order to continue building a strong program.
